Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Flexible with both home and office working with main office being Maple Cross. Projects can occur between Chiltern Tunnel (Missenden) and Long Itchington Wood (Southam)
Business Area: Kier Utilities- Source Design
Contract: Permanent- Full Time
We are now recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Utilities team to maintain a level of professional commercial support for the team with new contractual amendments, working in our Source Design business that work on projects such HS2.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, it will be your responsibility to manage the commercial resources (people and finance) of assigned projects to maximise planned gross margin through the placement and control of contracts and subcontracts. To assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks and implement Kier Group's policies for risk management. To complete and support the authorisation and submission of project variations. To produce or authorise the placement of contracts, subcontracts, material and plant orders. To maximise cash flow through the control, measurement (including quality) and valuation of work, and the invoicing of customers and payment of suppliers. Implement all of Kier Group's policies including those for SHE and risk management. To promote Kier Group's values towards its customers in order to meet or exceed their expectations.
What do we need from you?
To be successful, you will hold the relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying and having experience working on NEC frameworks would be advantageous.
