We are Kier, one of the UK's leading Construction and Infrastructure services, working on projects such as Hinkley Point C, Sellafield and Mogden Sewage Treatment Works. We are now recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Major Projects team to support the substantial growth of our Mogden project.
Key Responsibilities
In this exciting role, you'll provide essential input including financial and contractual performance forecasts to the management team and ensure that business targets and KPI's are met. You'll ensure the early identification of change is managed and expectations are met regarding the timely submission of variations. Team management, solid client liaison and building strong relationships are a necessity to build on our existing excellent relationship with our client. Innovative solutions will be sought to often complex mechanical and electrical problems and the ability to effectively communicate these to the team is a necessity. The forecasting and monitoring of spend against approved Client budgets will be required and you also be responsible for the preparation and review of monthly cost reports for your work section area.
What do we need from you?
You'll be qualified to a degree level or equivalent and have demonstrable experience within a similar role. You'll have proven track record of working on NEC or IChemE Contracts and experience working with Coins/Causeway/Oracle accounting systems. In addition, you'll be a confident user of MS Office in particular Microsoft Excel and be a holder of a full UK driving license. Professional Accreditation such as RICS or ICE and experience in using CEMAR is desirable but not essential.
