Location: Glasgow, Scotland - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.
Contract: Permanent, full time, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities
As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within our SCAPE Framework team involved in the long term delivery of building projects that support and develop the local communities across NHS, Education, Local Authority.
Your day to day will include:
- Ensuring the contractual control and cost management of projects across the Education and Health care sectors
- Exposure to the full project lifecycle with involvement across pre-construction through to project delivery
- Managing the commercial aspects of subcontract accounts from procurement to interim and final account agreement and be involved with the final account negotiation to ensure the best possible outcome.
- Assessing contract risk and work with the delivery team to develop and manage mitigation plans.
This role of Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:
- You have experience of delivering projects under both JCT and NEC contract conditions
- You are degree qualified within a relevant discipline and be able to evidence your commercial and contractual understanding
- You can demonstrate experience of working on schemes valued between £1m - £10m as the commercial lead
- You are comfortable commercially managing multiple concurrent projects at various stages
- You are client facing, able to manage relationships within a key client through clear, honest communication.
