Quantity Surveyors from a Civil, Structural or Architectural (CSA) will enjoy working for a rapidly expanding General Contractor who are currently working on a number of large-scale Data Centre projects across London. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing business with career progression opportunities available for the right candidates and guaranteed work up to 2026.

Established 3 years ago, this company is going from strength to strength and is already delivery multiple £100M+ projects, with an excellent pipeline of work for the next 2-3 years. Working on some landmark Data Centre projects across London, they're quickly becoming a name of interest for many candidates looking to get into this market and/or develop their careers in a hypergrowth business and sector.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • To take active responsibility for all financial procedures in conjunction with the Lead Commercial Manager
  • To suggest trade contractors, systems and manufacturers for team appraisal.
  • To lead role the valuation process, forecast value & maximise value recovery
  • Develop initial project budget and agree detailed cost plan for agreement with the professional team.
  • Advise client on procurement routes available.
  • Prepare, monitor and manage bid package tender schedule.
  • Advise on product selection, specifications and assist with value engineering exercises.
  • Ensure Contracts/Bonds/Warranties/Guarantees/Insurances in place prior to commencement
  • Undertake sub-contract administration and management
  • Undertake measurements and administer changes
  • Prepare and produce 'rolling' final account throughout project and agree at PC. Subsequently, close out financial account and retention releases
  • Prepare final account reconciliation (CVR), create regular budget and price updates, update computerised cost control system and prepare the monthly cost and progress report for division directors responsible

Personal Requirements

  • Recognised qualification in a building related subject
  • Experience on Data Centre projects is highly desireable
  • Local supply chain knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC, JCT & NEC form of contracts
  • Good knowledge of local regulations, codes and standards (desired)
