We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team based in Newcastle. Within this role, you can enjoy you can enjoy remote working, flexible hours and the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects of all sizes and complexities and even more.

Location: Newcastle - Flexible working between office site and home available

Contract: Permanent, full time, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

Our North East business is thriving with Kier Construction delivering high value new build projects across education, healthcare, higher education, MOD and MOJ sectors.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the Commercial team in supporting them in building projects that support and develop the local communities.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be involved in full lifecycle Commercial Management from tender through to delivery, adding value to pre construction, procurement and on site commercial management of projects that may range in value from £10M - £80M

Your day to day will include:

  • Assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks and implement Kier Groups policies for risk management

  • Prepare and present monthly cost reports, value works executed by Sub-Contractors and certify interim and final payments.

  • Assist the team with commercial and contractual expertise - NEC / JCT Conditions

Who are we looking for?

This role of Senior Quantity Sureyor is great for you if you have:

  • Proven experience in managing the commercials over the full project lifecycle in education, commercial, leisure, healthcare, Ministry of Defence, and mixed-use projects

  • Experience in Tier 1 main contractor environments

  • Experience in both JCT & NEC forms of contracts
