A well-established civil engineering contractor is looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a major rail infrastructure project in London. This is a permanent, full-time role based on site.

Responsibilities:

Administer NEC3 Option C contract, including early warnings and compensation events

Write and manage Early Warning Notices and Compensation Event Notifications

Manage and price changes and variations in line with contract terms

Produce detailed cost forecasts and monthly CVRs

Prepare internal and external financial reports, including profit and loss

Submit applications for payment under NEC3 Option C

Understand and apply the Schedule of Cost Components and identify Disallowed Costs

Procure subcontractors and materials; manage subcontractor accounts

Liaise with clients and project stakeholders on commercial matters

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in the civil engineering or rail sector

Strong understanding and hands-on experience with NEC3 Option C

Proven ability to forecast costs, manage CVRs, and oversee financial reporting

Confident in contract administration, change control, and payment processes

Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field

Professional membership (e.g. RICS) preferred but not essential

Must be able to work full-time on site in London (5 days per week)
