My client, a leading civils and landscaping company, is currently seeking a permanent Senior Quantity Surveyor with excellent contract knowledge across numerous contract types to start either immediately or in the new year.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, you would be based out of their office in Milton Keynes and be required to work 2-3 days/week in Central London looking after some of their sites.

Role:

Able to muck in and get involved with site issues, pricing change and delay and disruption claims

  • Able to protect the client's positions with appropriate letters/correspondences Manage/control commercial change on projects Work on budgets/cashflows/monthly reporting/applications/final accounts
  • Not scared to stand up for the employee on contract issues e.g if being under or late paid etc, not getting access.
  • Let and manage subcontractor packages
  • Will work with/over/support other junior QS's (looking for probably another junior to complete the permanent team + possible freelance as necessary to sit on large projects)
  • Will be a mixture of Office and site based so someone based in London and surrounding area (North/west London/home counties best so can easily get to our offices in MK also)

Skills

  • Sufficient health and safety knowledge and demonstrate their awareness of safety culture.
  • Experience in using the major forms of contract (NEC, ICE, JCT)
  • Degree qualified
  • CSCS card holder
