Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Reading
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Package
Sector: Specialist Contracting
A specialist contractor within architectural pre-cast cladding. Boasting a strong history of completed projects with national coverage.
Seeking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor following the retirement of an incumbent. As part of a larger construction group, this contractor is able to draw on wider skills, experience and resource to support their work.
With a key client group of tier one main contractors, candidates will be required to showcase excellent contractual and commercial skills. Experience of working as a sub-contractors QS is desirable, however candidates from main contracting backgrounds will also be closely considered.
The Role:
- Taking a lead on QS functions for the business
- Technical knowledge of pre-cast concrete, stone and facades is beneficial
- Experience of contract negotiation with main contractors
- Commercial Management of projects
- Input to the wider commercial and finance management of the company
- Maintaining excellent project records to track variations and settle final accounts
The Requirements:
- Degree level education within Quantity Surveying
- RICS member or MRICS certified
- Within commutable distance of Reading
- A demonstrable history of completed projects
- Comfortable to work as part of a highly skilled senior management team
The Rewards:
- Salary of £50,000 - £60,000
- 12.5% profit share bonus
