This is a great opportunity to play a key role in our highly experienced project delivery team delivering a £400M project.
What is the role and project?
- Construction management for a work package within a mega or major project including direct trades and labour as well as subcontract management.
- Construction work is underway on the expansion of the iconic Shepperton Studios in Surrey, and once complete will be one of the largest film and TV studios in the world. Works involve 1 million sq ft of new production accommodation and 17 sound stages.
What are the key responsibilities?
- You will contribute to the achievement of Laing O' Rourke safety targets and zero tolerance of unsafe working practices and occurrences
- To deliver the sub project to the client within budget, quality and time parameters
- To work with the planning team to develop detailed and accurate short term programmes of work
- To manage the budget and delivery of the section of the project
- To plan the programming of day-to-day resource requirement and communicate these to the construction team
What are the desired skills?
- Detailed knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation
- Leadership and people management skills
- Thorough understanding of project flow and demand fulfillment
- Good knowledge of plant and equipment
- The ability to work with initiative when outside influences affect planned operations
