Working across large projects, initially aligned with our HMP Glasgow new build enabling works the Site Engineer will manage the technical compliance of the project to the design specification to fulfil the assigned project (or section) safely, on time and to the required quality, providing specific engineering expertise and advice to project delivery teams.
Location: Glasgow
Contract: Permanent, full time, Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting project team with engineering requirements on the project
- Monitoring of specialist contractors - structures, groundworks, and external works
- Recording, control and reporting of progress as well as quality control checks and commercial cost control
- Establishing levels and control points and dimensional control of construction project
- Production of as built information during the stages of the build
What we need from you:
- Ability to competently operate setting out and levelling equipment (Total Stations and Digital Levels)
- Full understanding and use of DWG or Revit based software
- Experience with high value civil & structural work packages
- Be able to competently manage tasks with little supervision
- Familiar with interpretation of technical standards and site controls necessary to ensure compliance
- Be able to competently use all forms of total stations and setting out equipment
- Be able to be part of a large team and high contributor to the Project Delivery Success
- A full understanding and able to demonstrate the use of computer software packages including but not limited to AutoCAD , Microsoft Office , blue beam
