CEMC is Europe's most advanced precast concrete facility and is a key enabler of LOR's unique operating model which is redefining the way assets are built.

This role presents a unique opportunity to join the precast technical solutions team where you will be involved in producing design solutions for complex and exciting façade projects from tender through to construction. This involves design optioneering, structural assessment and client engagement to develop structural solutions for bespoke precast facades. You will be required to innovate and solve complex technical challenges, whilst seeing first-hand your solutions feed into the manufacture and assembly of live projects. Working as part of a close knit team of structural engineers, and as part of the wider precast technical solutions team you will provide technical oversite to a wide range of precast facades:

    • Carrying out tender feasibility assessments
    • Supporting our design partners to deliver safe and efficient designs within our manufacturing and logistical preferences
    • Carrying out some permanent condition design for precast facade elements
    • Devising and communicating the lifecycle of each product, including manufacture, finishing, storage, transport, and on site assembly
    • Providing engineering support during design, detailing, manufacture, and on site assembly
    • New product development

What skills & experience are we looking for?

  • Ideally you will be degree educated to Masters level, and actively working towards Chartered or Incorporated Member of IStructE / ICE
  • 5+ years' post graduate experience in the design of reinforced concrete and / or steel structures is preferred although not essential
