Senior Sustainability Consultant Job in East London

A Senior Sustainability Consultant Architect job is now available to join a thriving and award-winning multidisciplinary practice in their London office.

Our client is looking for a Sustainability Consultant to join their team, working on projects from urban and suburban housing to large mixed-use schemes and masterplanning. A great opportunity to join a recognised and thriving practice with an impressive awards record and benefits package.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Establish strong working relationships with clients
  • Proven capability to undertake project planning and resource planning
  • Take responsibility for the delivery of multiple large and/or complex projects
  • Manage outputs for multiple reports for multiple outputs (i.e. energy, daylight and sustainability outputs)
  • Demonstrate ability to undertake presentations, both internally and publicly
  • Day to day client communication, update records and report on progress
  • Ensure all relevant regulations and standards are met.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Degree in sustainability, environmental, building services/engineering, geo-environmental discipline or other related discipline
  • 5+ years' experience of working in the residential construction industry
  • Proven expertise in residential design and the sustainable design of buildings and places
  • 3-5+ years effectively managing and developing a team to deliver high quality sustainability services
  • Multiple accreditations (i.e. BREEAM, LEED, SAP, DEA, CEEQUAL, IEMA, CIBSE, and/or Home Quality Mark Assessor qualification)
  • Knowledge of UK planning, construction, regulations for Energy and CO2 emissions is essential
  • Understanding of current legislation and best practice in sustainability, energy and carbon management
  • Ability to research and understand subjects/services and how this can be applied to a project
  • Ability to manage, support, develop and mentor other consultants within the team
  • Well organised and able to prioritise own workload with minimal supervision
  • A highly motivated and driven approach to career development.
  • Excellent English, both written and verbal
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
