Senior Town Planner Job in Truro, Cornwall
I have Senior Town Planner job available with a growing multidisciplinary consultancy in their office in Truro. This role is offering hybrid or possibly remote working for a candidate with the right experience, and a salary of up to £45,000 DOE + benefits.
This consultancy employee around 25 people across planning, architecture and landscape. The planning team is currently at a headcount of six and looking to grow due to the increase in new business won. As the successful Senior Town Planner, you'll be working closely with the planning team on renewable energy projects across the UK. If you have planning experience with renewable energy projects this would be an advantage but not essential. Some form of large scale or major development planning experience would be ideal.
Role & Responsibilities
- Preparing and submitting planning applications
- Give advice on planning matters
- Assess the land development against the company criteria
- Attend internal and external meetings throughout the planning process
- Keep updated on local and national planning policy changes
- Preparing monthly progress reports
- Work closely with the land and technical teams
- Support the Director.
Required Skills & Experience
- Ideally educated to a degree level of a relevant course
- Experienced with major developments or renewable energy projects
- UK experience in public or private sectors.
