Key Responsibilities

You will assist with the management of signal faults, updating asset data, identification of schemes, traffic signal modelling and design including health and safety paperwork. Attendance at FAT/SAT, site supervision as required and traffic signal monitoring. Prepare traffic signal designs to ensure deliverable maintenance/LMNS/PPP schemes up to £100m. Provide advice on design of elements for motorway and trunk road projects including S278s. Assisting in identifying needs from inspection reports and other data to develop maintenance, renewals and improvement schemes including support of other contracts and S278 schemes. Production of CAD drawings, specifications and TR2500 forms. Supporting the RTMC maintenance contract with fault identification, management of sub-contractor, rectification and reporting.

What do we need from you?
  • Degree level, HNC/HND, or appropriate qualification
  • Working within a Civil Engineering design environment, preferably on a high-speed network
  • Thorough knowledge of traffic signals including MOVA and UTC
  • Good understanding of traffic signal equipment and software preferably including LINSIG3, Keysignals TRANSYT, CAD, and SCOOT
  • A full and valid driver's licence
  • NHSS Sector 8 card holder - Desirable
  • Experience in highways/construction and the management of highways assets - Desirable
  • Familiar with Graphical Information Systems (GIS) - Desirable
  • Experience in Factory acceptance testing and Site acceptance testing - Desirable
