We are looking for people with the following experience to join the team:

  • You will work as an Acoustics Specialist, within the team your work shall be diverse. You will be involved in the assessment of noise for various types of projects, including residential, commercial and educational development. You will undertake noise monitoring, modelling and assessment works to the relevant British Standards and be working on projects from inception through to completion including liaising with clients, other team members, and third parties such as local authorities and transport consultants throughout the process.

    Responsibilities & Duties

    As the successful applicant you will ideally possess between two and six years of relevant industry experience working in the field of acoustics. You will need experience of noise monitoring and assessment procedures and be familiar and competent in the application of all regulations relating to residential and commercial development. The successful applicant would have previously managed or mentored junior members and support them from a technical standpoint.

    Qualifications & Skills

    Educated to degree level in Acoustics or a related discipline and/or possess the Institute of Acoustics Diploma or a BSc/MSc in Acoustics/Noise Vibration, you will also be a member of the Institute of Acoustics (IOA).

    You will possess excellent report writing skills and have experience of noise modelling using relevant software packages.

    You will have excellent organisational and numerical skills with experience of managing your own workload and have excellent communication skills and confidence to liaise directly with clients.

    As you will be working as part of the wider air quality, air tightness testing and building compliance division, experience in other disciplines would be an advantage.

    A full driving license and access to a vehicle is required, although a company vehicle may be provided to the right candidate.

    • Bachelor's level with MIOA Diploma.
