Service Charge Controller - Brighton - £30,000 to £34,000 Dependant on Experience

My client, a National Independent Property Advisor, are on the search for an experienced Service Charge Controller to join their Brighton team.

The main purpose of the role is to assist in the preparation and completion of service charge year end reporting on both residential and commercial portfolios. As well as undertake reconciliation of relevant property bank statements for purpose of year end.

Main Duties

  • Producing detailed expenditure reports and corrections of posting errors
  • Distributing reports to relevant property managers and raising any relevant queries
  • Where applicable, and once any queries have been resolved, distributing the reports to audit
  • Posting of prepayments and accruals
  • Continual monitoring of year end status, keeping an accurate record of the progress
  • Responding to further auditor queries
  • Distribution of confirmed accounts to relevant property manager
  • Finalisation of accounts and turning over of the period

Requirements

  • Essential accounting Skills (Bookkeeping, including accruals, prepayments, and Bank)
  • Service Charge experience would be highly advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in using MS Excel & MS Word to produce a variety of documents
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise workload
  • Attention to detail
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Knowledge or experience of using MRI/Qube software would be beneficial

Salary: £30,000 to £34,000
Hours: Mon to Friday 9am to 5:30pm (1 hour and 15 mins for lunch)
