A service engineer must be ok commuting to the loughborough area and travelling up and down the country visiting sites. The home base is based in Loughborough and this is where you will be reporting to every morning.

Shift times

Monday to Friday. 7:00am - 16:00pm. Overtime available after 39 hours.

Responsibilities

· Highly skilled in engineering - pump overhauls, installations, diagnostics & component
changes.
· Very competent in interpreting detailed technical drawings.
· Laser alignment - expertly working within tight tolerances to 0.01mm.
· Commitment to providing a safe and tidy working environment.
· Regularly Supervisor on-site: communicating with clients, securing work permits
and ensuring all jobs run as planned.
· Basic electrical engineering knowledge. Wiring power and control cable in electric motors
· Generating site reports and recommendations regarding service engineer
· Warranty investigations and RCFA (route cause failure analysis)
· A customer facing role working under pressure and often time constraints.
· Delivering competence training for fellow KSB engineers & third-party service
partners.
· Flexibility by working overtime and willing to work weekends & evenings when
required to get the job done.

· Overhauls to the high value engineered multistage pumps, working to tight
tolerances, and setting bearings, mechanical seals, and axial floats.
· Pressure testing of repaired units to ensure integrity.
· Overhauls to specialised minimum flow valves and large butterfly valves.
· Use of spray painting, deep cleansing and shot blast equipment.
· Fully conversant in using internal and external metric micrometers and clocks.
· Use to working to torque settings and use of large torque multipliers.
· Bearing and mechanical seal removal and installs.
· Build of contractual new supply of pump sets to drawing.
· Support the test department in the rigging and testing of above mention set
builds gaining vital knowledge in pump performance and operation.
· Mentoring and supporting new apprentices.
· Basic electrical motor testing and welding / fabrication.
