Position: Service Engineer

- Elk are currently recruiting for a Service Engineer for our client in the Cork area. They are market leaders in the provision of supply, installation and servicing of the following products. Manual and Automatic Doors, Access Control Systems, Electronics Locks, Security Hardware, Movable Walls, Roller Shutters, Sectional Doors, Rapid Roll doors, Smoke & Fire Curtains.
Service Engineer Responsibilities:
- The Service Engineer should have the ability to repair, service and install products under the client's portfolio to a high standard
- Ensuring all company procedures are followed and recommend improvements
- Encouraging teamwork among colleagues
- Liaising with the Project Managers Customer Service regarding complaints
- Recommending appropriate upgrades/repair work and advise the office of the requirements
- Representing the company in a professional manner
Service Engineer Requirements:
- Consideration will be given to time served Electricians, Security Installation Engineers, Mechanical engineers etc. full training will be given.
- Hold a current Full clean driving license.
- Qualified in either BS7036 or EN16005 would be an advantage
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication skills
- Have knowledge of various manufacturers automatic door & Rolling Shutter Door products would be an advantage
- Have a basic understanding of access control equipment would also be an advantage
Serviceable Products: Fire & Roller Shutters, Fire & Smoke Curtains, Automatic Doors, CCTB, Electronic Locks, Quick Roll Doors, Moveable Walls, Industrial, Retail & Commercial Doors, Access Control, Door Hardware & Closers, Steel Hinged Doors, Bi-Folding Insulated Doors, PVC Strip and Rubber Crash, Doors, Sectional Doors, Docking Equipment, Facade Maintenance.
