Kier Construction are looking to recruit a SHE Advisor for our Central region. This will be on a 2 year FTC based out of our Solihull office however, most of your time will be spent out on a number of sites so travelling will be required.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safety, health and environmental advice in accordance with the Kier SHE System. You will carry out inspections, investigate accidents and provide reports & recommendations.
Being compliant and self-disciplined is essential as you will be working closing with senior managers and directors to make sure all procedures are adhered to, informing them of issues and assist them in drawing up risk assessments, safe systems of works and evaluating method statements. You will be also be involved in developing toolbox talks and attending pre-start meetings to advise.
As an expert in the SHE field, you will identify and deliver any SHE training if necessary and work closely with the Learning and Development team. Not forgetting to ensure that all SHE lessons learnt and other High Value Learning Events are communicated.
Ideally, we are looking for a SHE Advisor with recent experience in the Construction building industry however, other sectors within construction will be considered. More importantly, we do require you to have a NEBOSH diploma or equivalent with working knowledge of ISO 14001 and BS OHSAS 18001 Standards.
