We are currently recruiting for a SHE Advisor to provide practical guidance at all levels of management on the SHE management procedures and SHE legislation consisting of audit inspections, accident investigations and providing informed advice to promote our health and safety workplaces/sites.


Key Responsibilities

In this exciting role, you'll work closely with line management to assist in fulfilling SHE responsibility. You'll carry out SHE tasks in order to maintain Kier Group SHE policies and procedures. You'll also conduct audits and inspections to promote best practice and identify areas of unsafe working conditions. You'll be tasked to promote the implementation of our Kier Behavioural Safety Programme, advise on the Safe Systems at Work, Construction Phase Plans and Environmental Management Plans, and compile SHE monthly progress reports

From time to time you may be required to perform other tasks, which are not included in the above description, but are within your capabilities and where necessary, training will be given.


What are we looking for?

We're looking for demonstrable experience within the construction industry with a minimum of NEBOSH construction certificate. You'll also have previous exposure to Environmental Management and Sustainability principles and have a good practical understanding of the principles of SHE legislation, and it's interpretation into practical terms preferably as a Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH). You'll have a positive, hands-on approach and be fully conversant with IT. You'll demonstrate strong communication skills and an ability to work independently and as part of a team.
