Location: Home and site based in Devon/Cornwall with travel
Business area: Kier Utilities - Western Power Distribution (WPD)
Contract: Full or Part-Time, Permanent.
Salary: £30 to £45k per annum dependent upon experience plus car or car allowance
Due to growth, we have an opportunity for a SHE Advisor to join our WPD team.

We need you to advise Kier's employees on minimising and avoiding risks around their day-to-day work. Nothing is so urgent that we cannot take time to do it safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively promote Safety, Health and Welfare, leading and setting a good example to other employees and stakeholders.
- Work closely with the operational teams in carrying out their roles and SHE responsibilities.
- Provide timely and affective operational SHE support and advice to the business unit.
- Assist the operational teams in developing Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work.
- Conduct regular and robust health and safety Inspections & Audits.
- Ensure all accidents, incidents and near misses are reported quickly and are also effectively investigated, contributing to Incident Review Boards and Incident Review Panels.
- Ensure operational compliance to approved SHE procedures.
- Ensure that all SHE reporting requirements are provided accurately and in a timely manner.
- Implement the Kier Integrated Management System in Telecoms.
- Assist Management teams in the development of health and safety related documents.
- Advise and assist in the identification of health and safety training requirements
- A Full UK Driving Licence is essential
- NEBOSH Certificate (preferably Construction) or equivalent.
- Membership of relevant professional institution (e.g. TechIOSH or above).
- Working knowledge of ISO 14001 and BS OHSAS 18001 Standards would be an advantage.
