We're looking for a SHE Advisor to join our Eastern construction business!

Location: This is an agile role where regular travel will be required between the multiple construction projects within Suffolk, Essex and Hertfordshire

Contract: Permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Kier Construction are looking for a SHE Advisor to provide specialist safety, health and environmental advice to all levels of management and the project teams for our Eastern region. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects from Education to commercial, healthcare, leisure, public sector and more!

Your day to day will include:

  • Working closely with line management to assist in fulfilling SHE responsibility and carrying out SHE tasks in order to maintain Kier Group SHE policies and procedures.
  • You'll also conduct audits and inspections to promote best practice and identify areas of unsafe working conditions.
  • You'll be tasked to promote the implementation of our Kier Behavioural Safety Programme, advise on the Safe Systems at Work, Construction Phase Plans and Environmental Management Plans, and compile SHE monthly progress reports
What are we looking for?

  • Demonstrable experience within the construction industry with a minimum of NEBOSH construction certificate
  • Previous exposure to Environmental Management and Sustainability principles and have a good practical understanding of the principles of SHE legislation, and it's interpretation into practical terms preferably as a Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH)
  • A positive, hands-on approach and be fully conversant with IT.
