We're looking for a Safety Health and Environment (SHE) Advisor to join our Highways team based in Penrith to assist in the management and promotion of health, safety, environment, and well-being for our Strategic Highways contracts within North Lancashire and Cumbria. Within this role, you can enjoy a company car or car allowance, 26 days holiday plus bank holiday with the option to buy/sell, fantastic matched pension scheme and even more.

Location: This is a site role where you will be based out of our Penrith office with some travel to other offices and sites

Contract: Permanent, Fulltime

Salary: £34k - £44k

Responsibilities

As a SHE Advisor, you'll drive and champion Safety, Health and Environment campaigns.

Your day to day will include:
  • actively promote safety, health and environmental issues in the work place, leading and setting a good example to other employees and stakeholders.
  • support the continued development of Kier's Safety Health and Environmental Management System
  • undertake Site, Depot and Office Health and Safety Inspections
  • liaise with Kier Occupational Health team to provide health & wellbeing support for Kier employees across the contract
  • support Kier Highways SHEA Director and the wider Kier SHEA team
Who are we looking for?

This role of SHE Advisor is great for you if have:
  • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety
  • Technical member of IOSH
  • Working knowledge of ISO: 9001 ISO: 14001 & ISO: 45001
  • Full driving licence
