Job responsibilities
We are looking for a SHE Manager to steer SHE across the Business Streams, setting strategy and managing performance throughout the SHEA team across 600 sites. In this role you will ensure the Business Streams are compliant with all SHE statutory requirements, accredited processes and all contract specific SHEA requirements but will also drive a culture of continual improvement focussed on achieving a zero-harm at all levels. You will implement and comply with Kier Group's SHE policy and procedures, all legal requirements, and best practice, ensuring the Group is compliant with all SHEA: statutory requirements, accredited processes and procedures, and contract specific requirements. You will report on SHE performance to the Executive Management Team and the Board, defining the SHE strategy for given projects, managing the reporting and review of all SHEA accidents and incidents. Part of this position is to ensure Kier is represented in the formulation of future SHE legislation, along with anticipating and be aware of future SHE legislation changes and making plans to adapt to new legislation in a controlled and timely manner.
What do we need from you?
You will need extensive knowledge of current SHE legislation and experience of managing major incidents through the legal process. CMIOSH, a Degree, NVQ or NEBOSH Qualifications in safety, health and environmental subjects are essential requirements for this role. You must have excellent communications skills, verbal and written at all levels and the ability to prioritise and manage conflicting projects/demands. If this sounds like you then please apply.
