The Base Maintenance Team are looking for a sheet metal worker to join the workforce in Manchester to continue delivering a high quality to service to its clients and contributing to the growing positive change in the aviation industry. Sheet Metal Worker Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the structures workshop with tasks on components such as flight control surfaces, engine inlets, fan cowls, thrust reversers, landing gears etc.
  • Fabrication and installation of flush repair doublers to inlet and flight control leading edge skins.
  • Replacement of inlet lip skin segments and flight control surface skin panels.
  • Collaborate with engineers and maintenance teams for seamless operation, as well as ensuring compliance with the relevant governing bodies (CAA/EASA).
  • Be well versed with all technical data (SRM, CMM etc.).

Sheet Metal Worker Experience/Attributes Required:

  • Experience in a similar role is highly desirable (i.e. Fabricator/Welder), with knowledge of CAA and EASA regulations being beneficial and an avionics apprenticeship also being advantageous.
  • Attention to detail and a drive for excellence and quality.
  • Experience on aircraft metal sheet work (base maintenance).
  • Proficiency in riveting, drilling and metal fabrication techniques.
