Location: Blaby, Leicester
Project: Water Treatment Plant
Duration: 2-3 months
Salary: £24 to £25 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 16:30pm (Overtime may be available)

About Us: Our client is a leading construction firm specialising in large-scale infrastructure projects. They are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Shuttering Carpenter to join their team for an important water treatment plant project in Blaby, Leicester.

Role Overview: As a Shuttering Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing and dismantling formwork for concrete structures, ensuring precision and adherence to project specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in shuttering and formwork carpentry, particularly in large-scale infrastructure projects such as water treatment plants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Constructing and installing formwork for concrete structures including walls, columns, beams, and foundations.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Ensuring all work meets quality standards and project specifications.
  • Collaborating with other trades and site supervisors to ensure smooth project progression.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
  • Adhering to all health and safety regulations on site.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Shuttering Carpenter, preferably on large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of formwork systems and carpentry techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Valid CSCS card.
  • Own tools and PPE.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working on water treatment plants.
  • Relevant trade qualifications or certifications.
