We are hiring a Vinyl Shop Technician to join our experienced Signage team based in within West Norwood, London.
This position works normal office hours, with occasional after hours and weekend work. Working alongside a highly skilled Signage team, this is a great opportunity to develop your career.
The Role!
Primarily focusing on vinyl design and development, the Vinyl Shop Technician will produce large format prints and vinyl graphics, create drawings, operate digital media and create visuals for new and existing customers along with all other tasks associated with our trade.
Whilst this position is based in West Norwood (London), there may be occasional travel to our other sites as and when required.
Some of the duties are:
- Design, produce drawings and set artwork, including cutting.
- Operating digital media printers, weeding, and application of vinyls by hand or by laminator.
- Creating visuals for customer approval whilst working alongside the Sales team to turn initial briefs to visual masterpieces!
- Working with SignLab, Adobe, and Corel Draw along with large format printers and plotters to produce
- Supporting and working collaboratively with wider colleagues to ensure our customers' requirements are
- Identifying opportunities to improve ways of working.
- Undertake general construction and assembly of signs.
- Visit customer sites for business as usual and customised project work.
- Where required, manage small projects independently.
- Manage stock and keep track of materials needed for projects.
About You!
- Experience using large format printers, plotters, and cutters
- Skills in laminating both by machine and hand
- Experience in digital and vinyl graphics
- Preferable experience in general construction and assembly.
- CAD and design experience
- Proficient with SignLab, Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, Photoshop and any other sign/design programmes
- Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- Great attention to detail and desire for delivering high quality visuals/support for our customers
- Professional reliable attitude at all times both with colleagues and customers
- Full UK Driving License preferred but not essential
