We are Kier, one of the UK's leading Construction and Infrastructure service, working on projects such as Hinkley Point C and Mogden Sewage Treatment Works. We are currently recruiting for a Site Engineer to join our team based in Castlepoint.
Key Responsibilities
In this exciting Site Engineer role, you'll manage the technical compliance of the project to the design specification in order to fulfil the assigned project safely, on time and to the required quality. You'll assist in the preparation of 'as-built drawings' and establishing effective system to record work completed, updating the Project Quality Plan accordingly. In addition, you'll provide engineering support to ensure technical problems are overcome and technical queries are answered. You'll regularly check the setting out points and benchmarks and assist in the preparation of sketches for distribution on-site. You'll also be aware of the provisions of the Kier SHE Management system and to assist in its implementation to ensure safe systems of work are in place.
What do we need from you?
A commercially aware individual who has experience within a similar role. You'll hold a related HNC/HND degree or equivalent and a full UK driving license. You'll have previous experience of building positive relationships with clients, subcontractors and the general public and possess competent judgement and problem-solving skills. Ideally, you'll be a holder of CSCS and SMSTS or SSSTS card.
