We're looking for a Site Engineer to join our Highways team based in Poulton Le Fylde. Within this role, you can enjoy 26 days annual holiday entitlement with opportunities to buy/sell leave, a fantastic, matched pension scheme, 24/7 virtual GP service for you and your family and even more.

Contract: Permanent, Fulltime

Salary: £35k - £39k + Company car + Benefits

Responsibilities

As a Site Engineer, you'll work in conjunction with the Site Team to ensure construction is carried out accurately; that quality is maintained; records are kept; abortive or defective work is avoided, and that satisfactory progress is achieved.

Your day to day will include:

  • Setting out works constructed within allowable tolerances and ensuring the workforce understands the setting out information and that it is suitable for the type of work being carried out
  • Management of subcontractors on site and ensuring the quality assurance procedures are understood, followed and up to date.
  • Management of on site documentation, ensuring gangs have correct paperwork in place including RAMS and relevant permits.
Who are we looking for?

This role of Site Engineer is great for you if:

  • Have or working towards a related HNC/Degree or equivalent
  • Experience in structures, drainage & earthworks and practical working knowledge using CAD
  • Proficient in using setting out equipment such as total stations, GPS, automatic level & laser level and competent at using cable avoidance tools with services in congested areas.
