We're looking for a Site Engineer to join our Hinkley Point C team in Taunton, Somerset. Within this role you can enjoy 26 days annual leave, sharesave scheme, family friendly policies and even more.

Responsibilities

As a Site Engineer, you'll be working within the Hinkley Point C team, supporting them in managing the technical compliance of the project to the design specification in order to fulfil the assigned project (or section) safely, on time and to the required quality.

Your day to day will include:

  • Assist in the preparation of 'as-built drawings', maintaining the drawing register.
  • Assist in establishing and managing effective systems to record work completed updating the Project Quality Plan accordingly and reviewing against time, quality, dimensions and quantity.
  • Assist in the recording and testing of workmanship and materials, i.e., drainage, concrete, piling, brickwork etc.
  • Responsible for setting out works constructed within allowable tolerances. Regularly checking the setting out points and benchmarks and checking that all setting out instruments and measuring equipment are delivered to site with a calibration certificate and recorded accordingly. Ensure the workforce understand setting out information has been identified as suitable for the type of work being carried out.
  • Assist in the preparation of sketches for distribution on site, ensuring clear communication channels are in place for effective understanding
Who are we looking for?

This role of Site Engineer is great for you if:

  • You have a Related HNC/Degree or equivalent and hold a Full UK Driving Licence
  • You have experience in a similar role.
  • You have commercial and contractual awareness, showing competent judgement and problem solving skills with the ability to liaise in a professional manner with Client, Client Representatives, General Public
  • You are a strong Team Leader with p?????roven people, organisational and project management skills.
