Responsibilities
Kier has been appointed by Severn Trent, to design & build the UK's first catchment-scale flood resilience programme. This involves the design and construction of a suite of interventions across Mansfield to improve the flood resilience of the town. The overall aim of the project is to remove 58,000 m3 of surface water run-off from the sewer network by constructing Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS). They work by diverting surface water away from sewers, slowing it down and helping the drains to cope.
As a Site Engineer, you'll be working within the Regional Civils team, supporting the Section Engineer, and carrying out the supervision and engineering support to deliver numerous reservoir projects across the region
