We are looking for a Site Engineer to join Kier in delivering the redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site located in Plymouth. As Site Engineer you will assist the Engineer in managing the technical compliance of the project to the design specification to fulfil the assigned project (or section) safely, on time and to required quality.

Key Responsibilities

· Assist in the preparation of 'as-built drawings

· Assist in establishing effective systems to record work completed updating the Project Quality Plan accordingly

· Assist in the recording and testing of workmanship and materials, i.e., drainage, concrete, piling, brickwork etc

· Regularly checking the setting out points and benchmarks and checking that all setting out instruments and measuring equipment are delivered to site with a calibration certificate and recorded accordingly

· Completing Daily Diaries

What do we need from you:

· Degree qualification in civil engineering or equivalent is desirable - one or more of: BSc, BA, BEng, Meng, Eng, Tech, MICE, TIStructE, LCIBSE, LCIBSEEng Tech, Completion of Higher Apprenticeship

· May be working towards Chartership/Incorporation with IStructE, ICE or other appropriate professional body

· Familiar in Leica Survey equipment (GPS, Total Station, Optical & digital levels) for Setting Out & Survey

· Familiar with Quality Management System and familiar in writing RAMS

· Proven people and project management skills and team leader with organisational skills.

Due to the site being a high security military navy base, we require additional security checks which can take up to 8 weeks, in extreme circumstances some roles on this contract are only available to British nationals.
