Kier Places are recruiting now for a Site Labourer to join our Housing Maintenance team to assist on occupied & void project works to social housing & local authority buildings across the Hammersmith & Fulham area, as part of our contract with London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham (LBHF).


Key Responsibilities

As a Site Labour with Kier Housing Maintenance, day-to-day activities will include ensuring work is carried out to specification and defect free, informing colleagues & supervisors of any problems; clean, clear and valet Void & Occupied Properties as directed, ensuring minimal wastage of materials; carrying and lifting materials and assisting in repairs and maintenance; organising and loading vehicles to deliver materials to other operatives, sites, suppliers, and taking waste materials to recycling centres; and any other suitable work duties within your ability.

You'll build and develop your experience whilst ensuring that all work undertaken complies with relevant SHE legislation and health and safety policy, whilst representing Kier in a professional manner in both appearance and attitude, demonstrating an understanding and commitment to Customer Care, and providing high quality work and cost-effective building services to the business and its customers.


What do we need from you?

The ideal candidate will have previous manual handling experience - ideally within the housing maintenance / building services sector. You should also be enthusiastic, flexible, reliable, punctual & hardworking; be able to work independently and as part of a team, with good interpersonal skills; and have a strong ability to plan, prioritise and effectively manage your time.

Due to the nature of the role, you will need to be a holder of a Full UK Drivers Licence, and it would be a bonus if you have a CSCS card & experience using power tools.
