Dutton Recruitment are seeking a Site Manager for work in the Wakefield area.

Our client is a company with a clear vision of providing cost effective, sustainable solutions to aquatic & vegetation problems. They offer a wide range of services both in the field of vegetation management & aquatic restoration. From eradication of invasive species to large scale de-silting, flood defence & restoration projects.

Duties will Include:

  • Management & development of the overall site programme including carrying out site activities in accordance with the project outline
  • Development of the CPP/RAMS prior to project commencement and continually updating as the project develops
  • Setting up sites or support setting up sites
  • Sourcing plant & materials as required for the site, raising requisitions as well as off hiring in conjunction with the Operations Administrator, ensuring costs are controlled
  • Responsible for site inductions, staff wellbeing and quality management
  • Supervise, work with & manage direct workforce, agency operatives, sub-contractors & other on-site operatives
  • Communicate early warnings to Contract/ Project Managers and the client (as experience develops)
  • Capturing & communicating site instructions from clients, recording programme delays, additional site works & other variations
  • Accurately interpret & follow drawings, specifications & Bill of Quantities
  • Environmental awareness and consideration of the project and its surroundings
  • Preparing & communicating weekly, fortnightly & monthly updates for Contract/Project Managers
  • Develop project methodologies (as experience develops)
  • Visit sites with colleagues to give advice, opinions & approaches to methods for tenders
  • Attend pre-start meetings
  • Be professional in your approach to clients/customers
  • Comply with the requirements of the Company's Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management Systems by compiling, handling & communicating the required information
  • Contribute to Company learning & continual improvement in delivering projects
