Our client, a well established and family run design and build contractor is seeking to recruit an experienced Site Manager to join their existing and well established team based in their North Lincolnshire head office. Specialising in Industrial, commercial and retail construction work, they have a full order book and an excellent reputation gained over many years. Contract values are typically between £250K and £3million and work comes in by way of word of mouth and repeat business from long a long standing client base.
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager and team player, preferably from a trade background who is competent and confident enough to see a project through from a green field site to completion. Whilst our client does not consider themselves to be a national contractor, typically their work extends to the Scottish and Welsh Borders and down to the M25. To complement their team, they are looking for someone with a proven track record of accomplishment and successfully bringing projects of differing values in on time and on budget.
Our client is seeking an individual who can add value throughout the business and is comfortable working with design teams and surveyors to add value to every project. Ideally, the successful candidate will be able to read and interpet design drawings and have an input to any changes throughout the life cycle of any construction project.
The successful candidate will ideally be located within an hour of our clients office in North Lincolnshire and be prepared to work away on projects that are away from the head office location. Typically you will travel away to the site location on a Monday morning and return home on a Friday although there will be times due to the flexible nature of the business where the hours may need to be extended to enable projects to finish on time. During any quiter periods, you will be based more locally, lending support to local site teams and projects and assisting planning future projects in the head office.
In short, we are seeking someone who can fit in with our clients' team and their ethos, in a business that is known for its excellent staff retention and team spirit. The succesful candidate will ideally possess the following: CSCS (Site Managers), SMSTS / SSSTS and First aid at work. Any other industry recognised certificate and qualifications would be advantageous although not essential.
