Site Manager Job in Inverness (Initial 3-month contract Temp to Perm)
Site Manager role for the residential development arm of one of the largest property groups in the UK, working on their 100-unit site in Inverness. The role offers a negotiable day rate and will lead to a permanent role for the right candidate.
Our client is one of the UK's largest residential development, regeneration, and property management businesses, they have around 12,000 employees, an annual turnover in excess of £800 million and over £4 billion in assets. Established for over 50 years, they provide not just buildings but sustainable communities across the private sector, affordable homes, assisted living, retirement and leisure sectors. To be considered for the role, you must be available to start immediately and you must have a current CSCS and SMSTS status, with previous site management experience for a housebuilder.
Role & Responsibilities
- To oversee, direct and manage production on site to the agreed programme, budget
and quality standards
- Comply with all Group procedures and external regulations, in particular those relating to the SHE. - - Upholding the Group's reputation with customers, suppliers and the community at large
- Deliver the budgeted number of plots in line with the business quality standards and on time.
- Overseeing and control activities on site to deliver Health, Safety & Environmental standards in line with our legal requirements.
- Working alongside the SHE team to delivery in line with group procedures.
- Ensuring high standards of quality are achieved throughout all build stages, that the Build Stage Inspection regime is strictly adhered to and that plots are fully completed before presentation
- Liaising with Contracts Managers and overseeing the activities of subcontractors to ensure the performance they deliver is in line with their contractual obligations
- Liaise with customers in a professional manner as required
- Comply with the PFP Policy and Procedures
- Effective daily use of appropriate company Information Systems and databases and ensuring information is recorded fully, accurately and in a timely fashion
- Direct liaison with Sales, Technical and Commercial departments ensuring that up to date records of all site activities are retained, thereby achieving cost/quality control; and report on the same to Build Manager/Build Director
- Lead, motivate, communicate with, develop, appraise and performance manage staff to ensure staff are fully motivated to achieve best performance to meet the company's needs
Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years' experience working as a site manager for a housebuilder
- CSCS Card
- SMSTS Card
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills and excellent computer
literacy
- Full UK Driving Licence
