We are currently supporting a highly respected New Build Social Housing Developer in their search for a freelance Site Manager, to join a Site in Burton on Trent. The site is looking for a strong Site Manager to come in for the final part of the project to help deliver 128 units. It's anticipated the scheme will complete by end of June and this role may turn permanent depending on performance and future project pipeline.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you and the other Site Manager on site will take full responsibility for the Site Activities which will include:

  • Delivering all Construction activities in line with Health & Safety policies
  • Working in line with LABC / Building Reg standards and processes
  • Coordinating direct (Assistant Site Manager + Operatives) and indirect (Subcontractor) personnel
  • Lead and deliver against project programme for key milestones such as CML's
  • Liaison with internal departments including Sales, Commercial, Technical etc
  • Ensuring high quality records / reports / paperwork are maintained and completed in a timely fashion
  • Deliver a high quality product fit for a Social Housing Client
  • Regular liaison and site updates with the Contracts Manager

Candidates must be able to demonstrate a previous and successful track record within the new build Housing Sector. Key qualifications will include:

  • 5 day SMSTS
  • CSCS Card
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Scaffold Awareness (preferred to have)
  • Time served Tradesperson or qualified to appropriate level HNC/HND/NVQ
  • Ability to use IT systems
  • Up to date knowledge of NHBC / LABC / Building Regs / Health & Safety process and legislation
