About the Role:We are looking for an experienced and proactive Site Manager to oversee the construction of a student accommodation project in the heart of Bristol City Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile project that will play a key role in the local community. As Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring the project runs on time, within budget, and meets quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage all site activities, ensuring the project progresses as per the schedule.
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of subcontractors, site workers, and other personnel.
Ensure that all health, safety, and environmental standards are adhered to on site at all times.
Liaise with the Project Manager, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and resolve any issues.
Oversee the delivery and quality control of materials and workmanship on site.
Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, health and safety documentation, and progress reports.
Monitor and control site budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
Implement and enforce strict quality control procedures to meet project standards.
Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with all regulations and building codes.
Act as the main point of contact for all site-related issues, providing solutions where necessary.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience as a Site Manager on student accommodation, social housing, or similar residential construction projects.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to act decisively when issues arise.
Knowledge of local building regulations and planning requirements in Bristol.
CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card and relevant health & safety qualifications.
A background in managing budgets and resources effectively.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
