Site Manager (Demolition)
Daniel Owen are recruiting a Site Manager to join one of the UK's most progressive and innovative demolition contractors, with a strong reputation for delivering complex projects safely, sustainably, and to the highest standards. Their expertise spans heavy industrial demolition, high-rise deconstruction, remediation, and strip-out works. As part of their continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and driven Site Manager to take a leading role in managing operations on their projects nationwide.
Position: Site Manager (Supervisor)
Location: Midlands (travel nationally)
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum + van + package
Contract Type: Permanent
Start date: Immediately available
Role Overview:
As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of demolition activities, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to specification. You will lead site teams and subcontractors, manage resources effectively, and uphold the companies values of safety, quality, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coordinate, and oversee all site activities from mobilisation to completion.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations, company procedures, and industry standards (including CDM 2015).
- Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks and enforce safe systems of work.
- Manage and monitor site documentation, including RAMS, permits to work, and progress reports.
- Control site costs, labour, plant, and materials to achieve project budget and timelines.
- Liaise closely with clients, project managers, and stakeholders, maintaining strong working relationships.
- Ensure the highest quality of workmanship while maintaining environmental and sustainability commitments.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation measures promptly and effectively.
- Lead and motivate site teams, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and professionalism.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within the demolition, construction, or civil engineering sectors.
- Strong technical understanding of demolition methodologies and best practices.
- CSCS Black/Gold Manager's Card essential.
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) and First Aid at Work certification.
- Asbestos Awareness and other industry-relevant training advantageous.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resolve challenges in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong IT and reporting skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
