My client, a Tier 1 contractor in the Fit Out sector, are looking for a Site Manager to join their team, project based in New Malden, London.

You will have the important role of owning the project from adjudication to completion along with providing the Construction Manager with the support needed to build the project and Client experience of working with them.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including time lines, resource allocation, and budgetary considerations for Category A and B fit-out projects in the accommodation and office sectors.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure seamless coordination of activities and efficient utilisation of resources.
  • Oversee the on-site execution of fit-out activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team of contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, provide guidance, and address any issues or challenges that may arise during the fit-out process.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and expectations, incorporating feedback into the project plan as needed.
  • Implement and enforce strict health and safety protocols on-site to ensure the well-being of all personnel and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the team to learn from past projects and implement best practices on the current project.

Skills/Experience Required

  • 5yrs+ construction experience working on fit out projects up to £70m as part of a team
  • CSCS manager's card, First aid, SMSTS, Working At Height
  • IOSH
  • HND / Degree qualified
  • Proven leader with ability to manage and motivate a team of site-based construction professionas
