They deliver high-quality, sustainable homes and communities at scale through strategic partnerships and innovative construction. As their business continues to grow, they are seeking a highly capable and experienced Site Manager to oversee operations on a high-volume new build housing development.
Position: Site Manager
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £300.00 - £350.00 per day
Contract Type: Long term freelance with temp-perm possible if wanted
Start date: Immediately available
The Role
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of a complex, fast-paced housing scheme through to handover. You will lead on-site construction activities, manage subcontractors and direct labour, and ensure that the project is delivered on time, on budget, and to the companies high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all on-site activities, ensuring compliance with programme, design, and regulatory requirements
- Manage health, safety, and environmental practices in line with company and statutory standards
- Coordinate labour, materials, and subcontractor performance to meet project milestones
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to support seamless project delivery
- Ensure quality assurance procedures are implemented and adhered to at every stage
- Conduct regular site meetings and maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
Skills & Experience Required
- Substantial experience in a Site Manager role, ideally on large-scale or high-density residential developments
- Proven ability to deliver multiple units per week in a live environment
- Excellent working knowledge of current building regulations, NHBC standards, and HSE legislation
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Valid SMSTS, CSCS (black/gold), Fire Marshall and First Aid at Work certificates
- Demonstrated commitment to quality, health & safety, and customer satisfaction
