Kier Utilities is looking to recruit a Site Operative based in London, who will report to the Site Supervisor. The successful candidate will carry out detailed test, inspection and condition survey of mobile phone network infrastructures and their associated equipment and carry out minor remedial work where required. This role will include working at height to check the condition of the tower mounted equipment, producing detailed and accurate written reports relating to the inspection/survey in a timely manner and provide photographic evidence as back up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspection of Towers, Poles and Fall Arrest Systems.
- Earthing and Lightning Protection Inspection & Testing.
- Inspection and Testing of Anchor Points.
- Ability to work at height, climbing telecoms structures and working outside.
- Report writing and undertaking General Site Maintenance.
- Ensure that all work is undertaken in a safe and proper manner and in accordance with the particular contract requirements.
- Ensure that all inspections are carried out in accordance with agreed program.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Relevant experience within a similar role is required for this position.
- Full clean driving license.
- Utilities or Telecoms background.
- Good communications skills both written and verbally.
- You may be required to work up to two weeks away per month, this is on as and when basis dependant on work demands.
