Breedon are currently seeking a Site Supervisor based at our Severn Sands site in Newport, South Wales. You will work closely with the Site Manager and be accountable for the operations of the bagging plant and stock yard.
The key responsibilities of the role are:
Ensure and be responsibility for the safe, efficient and cost-effective operation of the unit. This includes all aspects of H&S and associated regulations, maintenance and the control of contractors.
Have overall day to day responsibility for managing site and leading a team of operational staff focusing on delivering exceptional SHE and Quality standards and meeting financial and operational targets. You will support the Site Manager to deliver the Operations strategy within the Site and be responsible for people development and instilling a culture of health and Safety best practise by driving a culture of SHE continuous improvement.
Support in the maintenance and administration of all files, records, information and documentation to comply with H&S legislation, company procedures and site planning conditions.
Work flexibly across the operation to ensure appropriate supervisory cover for the site.
You will possess the following key skills, experience and qualifications:
Previous experience in a similar role
SHE NVQ level 3 / QCF level 4 or equivalent
SHE NVQ level 2 in mobile plant operation
IOSH / NEBOSH would also be an advantage
IT literate to perform required tasks and responsibilities
