We're looking for a Site Surveyor to join our team based in Redruth.

Location: Redruth, with travel to sites in the surrounding area (company van provided)

Contract: Permanent, full/ part time or flexible hours may be available. Let us know your desired hours and we'll do our best to support you

Responsibilities

Kier Utilities brings the built environment to life, providing power to keep people and businesses connected.

As Site Surveyor (where internally you'll be known as Cable Recorder), you will be working on National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED), supporting in the recording of cables being laid.

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to be able to grow professionally and develop a career in the construction/ utilities industry. You'll have the opportunity to be your own boss, manage your workloads and arrange regular daily site visits.

We will support you with all the training and professional development required for the role.

Your day to day will include:


  • Undertaking site surveys to record the final position of assets installed underground during the construction stage and compile accurate & detailed mapping for As Built Drawings
  • Assist in and utilise mapping systems to aid the effective transfer of data to the client
  • Support in giving advice on technical issues and about the recording of cables being laid against Ordnance survey Datum
  • Maintain the confidentiality of information acquired in the course of undertaking tasks and ensure each depot's internal KPI data is completed within certain time frames
Who are we looking for?

This role of Site Surveyor is great for you if you hold:

  • A CSCS card and Full Driving Licence
  • Good understanding of the importance of Health & Safety and the ability to understand numerical & statistical information
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Highly organised to manage the varied workload and meet deadlines
