We're looking for a Social Value Manager to join our Devonport team based in Plymouth, Devon. Within this role you can enjoy 26 days annual leave, sharesave scheme, family friendly policies and even more.

Responsibilities

As a Social Value Manager, you'll be working with the Devonport team, supporting the team with their social value commitment across the Devon/Cornwall region.

Your day to day will include:

  • Forging strong partnerships with appropriate representatives from the client contract to fully understand their Social Value requirements and to establish meaningful and achievable deliverables

  • Lead and deliver project activities related to Social Value and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) on a range of exciting, high profile projects, for the Devonport team.

  • Liaise closely with our clients and internal stakeholders to deliver an engaging and meaningful programme of social value initiatives that will include but is not limited to increasing local employment opportunities, developing basic work skills, environmental initiatives, educational programmes and local community engagement projects.

What do we need from you?

This role of Social Value Manager is great for you if:

  • You have a proven track record of coordinating and supporting social values programmes and activities, ideally with experience of the construction industry

  • You are a Self-starter, used to managing a diverse and varied workload, a good communicator and excellent ambassador, who can identify and develop key relationships internally and externally.

  • You can establish sustainable working relationships with various external organisations across Devon and Cornwall with the aim of providing tangible and measurable benefit to the local community

  • You possess a good working knowledge of financial return on social value methodology and experience with social value calculator systems within the construction sector. Also experience with evidencing impact delivered to local communities.

  • You will ensure the Social Value & EDI activities are recorded using internal databases and will support the research and writing of tender submissions and holistic case studies
