Specialist software company seeks experienced Designer / Design Technician to work with its customer base throughout the UK and Europe. This role is office-based where you will be providing phone support to your clients and maintaining close liaison with your colleagues. However, you will also be making frequent visits to client sites as part of your support and training responsibilities.

You will be working on:
Requests for technical support from your client base
Taking proactive action to increase efficiencies and prevent future problems
Delivering training both by remote means, at your own office and on client sites

Ideally you will have:

  • Proven experience in the construction industry, with good working knowledge of BIM
  • Degree in Architectural Technology, Construction or Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent experience in BIM
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and AutoCAD Architecture and ideally specialist design software (eg Revit or similar)
  • Experience in troubleshooting both hardware and software
  • Good working knowledge of Excel macros or any IT related knowledge
  • Ability to troubleshoot and analyse problems
  • Excellent customer service skills, and able to commute fluently in English both verbal and written via a range of media including phone, face to face, presentations and training
  • Good team working skills
  • Prioritisation and awareness of deadlines
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations
