We're currently recruiting for a Solicitor to provide and procure legal support within our Construction Business Unit.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will work collaboratively with our BU Commercial function to identify and manage legal risk and provide legal input into Commercial, Business and Operational issues. You will have responsibility for the procurement and management of external legal advice for the business unit and providing day-to-day support to management and delivery teams in implementing contractually compliant procedures to protect our business and legal position. This role will also involve providing strategic guidance on issues in a pre-dispute setting and effective handling of disputes and working with the wider Group Functions to manage relevant legislation and regulations affecting our business.
What are we looking for?
A proactive, self-starter and commercially aware PQE qualified individual with demonstrable experience within construction law (in contentious and non-contentious matters) and awareness of general business law issues (ranging from competition law, procurement, company law, commercial contracts etc.). You will also have good knowledge of key standard forms, including JCT and NEC contracts and confidence in delivering robust legal input into legal and commercial risk management.
