Breedon have an opportunity to join a newly developed BI team with an exciting plan and long-term vision. We are seeking an experienced DBA / ETL Developer to design and deploy ETL processes to feed data into our Tableau estate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development of Breedon's Management Information (MI) and reporting to deliver industry leading and best practice visualizations across the Group
  • Supporting the delivery of Federated Model in which divisions and teams can develop their own MI and reporting to service their own needs in a simple manner
  • Work with the BI Manager and a variety of roles from Finance Directors, Management Accountants and Commercial Managers to gather requirements to deliver enhanced insight
  • To support data and reporting activity on other projects such as the integration of new divisions and Financial systems improvements projects
  • Embed a process of continuous improvements within the Information Services Team
  • Highlighting and supporting the resolution of data quality issues at source with the business
  • Creation of high standard documentation to support ETL and Tableau development
  • Working with and developing business intelligence software to align how Management Information and reporting is provided across divisions
  • The main point of contact for managing relationships with resources across the business
  • Critical risk and issue escalations to the BI Manager
  • Reviewing systems performance and identifying?system issues including troubleshooting and fixing?related problems to exceed customer expectations
  • Scheduling training and supporting team members and end users in the use of Tableau
  • Enable integration with other core systems from HR, Health and Safety to Production through the creation of high-quality Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) practices to transport key business data into The Datawarehouse
  • Representing Information Services (as needed) in Working Groups
  • Lead data management owner ensuring that information is stored with The Datawarehouse as required and is available to teams for use in a performant and safe manner
  • Designing and implementing internal?system?controls (preventative and detective) to provide quality assurance over financial data

Skills, Experience and knowledge required:

  • 3+ years experience working with SSMS
  • Strong SQL / T-SQL coding ability
  • SQL Server Administration
  • Developing Stored Procedures and Views
  • Proven strength in conceptual and logical thinking
  • Knowledge and experience of developing an enterprise data warehouse
  • Experience working with multiple projects data sources at one time
  • Delivering solutions that enable insights into complex data sets
  • Time management and prioritisation skills
