JOB TITLE: Steel Fixer

INDUSTRY: Building and Construction

START DATE: ASAP

SALARY BAND: £18ph - £20ph

LOCATION: Barnstaple

Steel fixers (x2) required near Barnstaple to join the team on a construction project. Reporting to Groundworks Supervisor, duties will include following engineering plans, using hand and power tools, cutting and bending steel bars and mesh, and connecting rebar with wire, clips, or welds to build-up sections.

We estimate there will be two months work on this project with potential to move on to other projects in the area on completion.

Working hours will be 7.30 - 16.30 Monday to Friday. There is on site parking - own transport is essential due to location of site.

Requirements

• Good communication skills
• CSCS
• Able to work to technical plans
• Own PPE
• Own tools
• Previous experience as a steel fixer
