Introduction:

Kier and its partnership with South West Water are passionate about water, we help provide high quality drinking and waste water service throughout Cornwall, Devon, Bournemouth and small parts of Somerset.

We work as part of a Framework delivering civil schemes across the regions in the South West, whether it be responding to fix a water leak or replacing a main on planned works, we will be there ensuring we complete the works in a safe and timely way.

Key responsibilities:
  • Checking of goods inwards and preparing goods outward packs.
  • Serving internal and external customers with water materials, PPE / tools and consumables.
  • Inputting of goods received notes for all materials.
  • Checking and maintaining stock materials and consumables with the store - ensuring all items are located in the correct bays clearly marked and secure.
  • Delivering/collecting stores from other depots as required
  • Dealing with and assisting to resolve supplier and internal GRN and invoice queries.
  • Procurement of materials tools and PPE using Kier Direct to submit all purchase requisitions into the Group Procurement Shared Services system.
  • Requesting the timely expedition of material stock orders.
  • Co-ordinate and Liaison with suppliers, site installation & construction teams.
  • Assisting with all yard operations including but not limited to - offloading delivery wagons, loading of spoil / muck away, aerosol can piercing and all waste collections, whilst ensuring the yard is clean and waste free at all times.
  • Filing and scanning of paperwork in an orderly and timely manner.

  • Skills and experience required:

  • Good organisation and planning skills
  • Familiar with computer inputting / stock control.
  • Experience in water industry
  • Fork Lift counterbalance licence or experience.
  • Self-motivated
  • Pro-active within the role
